Vote AdvayDanwale for Class of 2030 Treasurer

I'm running because I'm good with money, and because I think you should always know where our class's money is. Voting is Friday, October 9, on a Google Form in Social Studies.

What will I do for the Class of 2030?

These are the same three things that are on my poster. A poster only fits so many words, so this is the longer version.

I will lobby to improve school bathrooms

Everybody complains about the bathrooms to each other. I'd rather complain to someone who can fix them.

So I'm going to keep a running list. Which bathroom, what's broken, how long it's been like that. The list goes to Student Government and to the administration, and it keeps going back until things get fixed. If you find something, send it to me and it goes on the list.

That's why my poster says lobby. I'll bring it up at every Student Government meeting until we get real answers, and I'll tell you what they say.

I will give students weekly updates and announcements on class funds

Class funds are our money. It comes from fundraisers and whatever else we bring in between now and senior year, and it's supposed to get spent on us.

You shouldn't have to know somebody in student government to find out how much there is. Every week I'll put out a short update with what's in the account, what came in, what got spent and what we're saving for. If nothing changed that week I'll still post, and it'll say nothing changed.

Every update goes in the class GroupMe, and I'll post it on my website too, so there's always one place to look up the Class of 2030 funds.

It takes me ten minutes, and then nobody has to wonder.

The four lines every weekly update will have.

I will teach every student in the Class of 2030 finance skills

I learned how money works on my own time, and it's the most useful thing I know. I'd like the whole grade to have it.

The plan is short lessons, a few minutes each, spread over the year. How to make a budget you'll actually stick to. What interest does when you owe it and what it does when you're the one earning it. What a stock even is. Why somebody who starts saving at 15 ends up way ahead of somebody who starts at 25.

You won't have to join a club or pay for anything. If you're in the Class of 2030, it's yours.

My qualifications

I traded stocks and options with real money and made $5,105

I did this with real money in a real account. Five months in I was up $5,105. That's a 23.1% return.

The screenshot is straight from my account, so you can see the numbers for yourself.

The habit is what I'd bring to class funds. I check the numbers all the time and I know where every dollar is.

I hold a UPenn Wharton course certificate in Corporate Finance

The course is Introduction to Corporate Finance, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. I finished it on October 3, 2026.

I did the whole course, including the parts on the time value of money and discounted cash flow, because I wanted to know how this stuff really works.

You can check the certificate yourself on Coursera. The link is right below.

I will dedicate as much time as it takes as treasurer of the Class of 2030

Being treasurer means showing up. You go to the meetings. You count the money after a fundraiser. You get the weekly update out on time even when there's a test the next morning.

However much time it takes to do it right, that's how much I'll put in.

How to vote for me

Friday in Social Studies, open the Google Form, go to Treasurer, and pick Advay Danwale. That's the whole thing.

Candidates aren't allowed to hand out candy or anything else, and campaigning has to stay positive. I like both rules. You won't get a lollipop from me, and you won't hear me say a bad word about anybody else who's running. You get what's on this page.

Dates and rules are from the Syosset High School Student Government election sheet for 2026-2027.

My speech

Speeches are live in the auditorium on Thursday, October 8, during period 2. Every candidate gets 90 seconds, so I'll keep it tight.

The video goes up here afterward, in case you want to watch it again or you were out that day.

The short version

  • Better bathrooms. I keep the list and I keep asking.
  • A funds update every week, in the class GroupMe and on my website.
  • Finance lessons for the whole grade, free.

The full plan is on the home page.

Contact me

Text, call, email, DM the campaign account, or message me on Discord. If there's a bathroom that belongs on the list, or you want to know something about class funds, I want to hear it.
